Ash Patton from Patton Web Designs had been stalking my work for a while (in a good way) and then he decided to take the plunge and let me refresh his logo whilst he was working on his new website, so that he could launch them both at the same time. Ash sent over a few examples of the types of logo he loves, we had a quick chat, and then he basically put all his trust in me to create the kind of logo he'd seen me create for other clients.
